CLARINO is produced without the use of CFCs and is free from environmentally-harmful additives which are restricted by local regulations. Our Okayama production plant is ISO 14001 certified.

Kuraray has been selected for inclusion in the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World for the fifth consecutive year.

The Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World are selected by Canadian publisher Corporate Knights Inc. from approximately 1,800 key corporations worldwide based on an evaluation conducted by the American investment research firm Innovest Strategic Value Advisors in such areas as environmental, social and corporate governance activities.

Tirrenina

TIRRENINA, a new brand of CLARINO, is a line of non-solvent microfiber that looks and feels more like natural leather. Using the CLARINO Advanced Technology System, TIRRENINA is an ideal material for performance categories because of its superior physical properties.

TIRRENINA features include:

• Solvent-free manufacturing
• Low PU content
• Higher physical properties, especially in terms of bonding and tear strength, with low and even elongation
• Superior feel and function
• Contains 99% less organic solvent compared to Kuraray's regular synthetic leather
• Organic solvent usage and organic solvent emissions both reduced by 99% during Tirrenina's manufacturing process
